Full description:

Clotri-Denk 100 Vaginal is a drug used in the treatment of vaginal fungal infections. Clotrimazole, the active ingredient of Clotri-Denk 100 Vaginal, acts by inhibiting the growth and proliferation of fungal cells, such as yeasts as well as a number of other fungal elements and some bacteria.

Clotri-Denk 100 Vaginal is used for

Vaginal discharge caused by yeasts, vaginal inflammation caused by fungi – usually yeasts of the Candida genus – as well as concurrent infec­tions (superinfections) with bacteria sensitive to clotrimazole. You must talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse.

What Clotri-Denk 100 Vaginal contains:

  • The active substance is clotrimazole. Each vaginal tablet contains 100 mg clotrimazole.
  • The other ingredients are: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium lauryl

sulphate, hypromellose, cellulose powder, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate

[vegetable].

Possible side effects:

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The probability of occurrence of a certain adverse drug reaction is described in the following table:

Rare – may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people

If you are affected by any of the following adverse reactions stop using Clotri-Denk 100 Vaginal and consult your doctor as soon as possible,

Immune system disorders (frequency not known):

Allergic reactions (shortness of breath, fainting)

Reproductive system and breast disorders (frequency not known):

Rash, genital skin peeling, oedema, discomfort, pelvic pain, vaginal bleeding

Gastrointestinal disorders (frequency not known):

Abdominal pain

Other possible adverse reactions:

Immune system disorders (frequency not known):

Allergic reactions (hives, hypotension)

Reproductive system and breast disorders (frequency not known):

Itching, burning, skin redness, skin irritation.

How to take:

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist have told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Usual dose

If not otherwise prescribed by your physician insert one vaginal tablet daily as deep as possible for six consecutive days, preferably at night.

Use with applicator

  1. The vaginal tablet is removed from the aluminium foil and placed in the applicator.
  2. The applicator containing the tablet is then inserted as deeply as possible into the vagina. The vaginal tablet is deposited in the vagina by carefully pushing the plunger until it stops.
  3. The applicator is removed from the vagina after use and cleaned carefully with warm water. The plunger is removed from the applicator for cleaning. Caution when cleaning: Do not use boiling water!
